#tilldeathdouscraft Shaker Cards

Glow in the dark shaker cards

Today is my final Thursday card for the #tilldeathdouscraft series. Stay tuned! All 8 participants will be posting on Halloween.

I used a spooky eyes stencil from Brutus Monroe for the background of each card. One is using Brutus Monroe glow in the dark embossing powder. The second is using Brutus Monroe glow in the dark glitter paste.

My shaker elements are from @doodlespaperplayground. I used a combination of Monster Mash and Wicked Brew Sparkle Blends for each card.

Check out my YouTube video to see my process!

#tilldeathdouscraft Candy Corn Card

I was inspired to make this card from spotting a gift bag while in line at the drugstore.

The background is ink blending with distress oxides in squeezed lemonade, abandoned coral and carved pumpkin. I added some glitz glitter gel and a die cut ghost from my stash. The sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp Frightful Fun stamp set.

Back to basics hop

Hello my crafty friends,

Today I am participating in a Back to basics hop hosted by Courtney Kreeber (Handmade Happiness on Facebook) We were challenged to create a card using just basic supplies. As crafters we often get wrapped up in creating with all of the latest and greatest supplies. Some times you just need to regroup, shop your stash and have fun!

For my card I am using ink smooshing with distress oxides as my technique. I do use my Misti stamping platform in my video as I am stamping on watercolor paper and I knew with just a stamp block I would ruin it. It is possible to create this card without the stamping platform. Check out the video below to see how I created my card.

#grateful4onek hop

Hello my crafty friends,

It has been awhile since I have posted here in my blog. I have been very active on my YouTube channel. I just need to be better about posting here as well.

I am participating in a hop to celebrate Cathy Arenzana and Marla Harris reaching their 1,000 subscriber milestone on YouTube! It is a fall themed thankful/grateful hop.

For my card I have used alcohol inks to create fall leaves for my slimline card. Please check out the video below to see how it was made. Also, stay tuned to my channel as I just reached 500 subscribers and I will be coordinating something to celebrate!

Have a great day!

Mixed Media Hop

My project today is not my norm… I do not typically make many mixed media projects. Then I found the Marabu easy marble paints! I have used these paints for card projects but I wanted to see how they would work with a wooden frame. I purchased a few cheap frames from Walmart in case this was a flop. Here is my video showing my process and the end result! I love it. Please hop along with all of the other great creators in this fun hop.

My first blog hop!

I was selected to participate in a blog hop featuring cut files from Jill Cameron Creations. I decided to make 4 cards with a few of the cut file options. Head over to to check out the great cut file options that I have used.

Of course the rainbow option caught my attention. I cut out the rainbow and clouds using heavy weight card stock. I then colored the rainbow using my Arteza everblend alcohol markers. The thank you sentiment is also from the same cut file. I used mirrored gold card stock to cut this out. I coated the clouds with Lawn Fawn liquid stardust. For the background I used the My Favorite Things cloud stencil and Distress Oxide ink in Salty Ocean. I also splattered the background with water and then the liquid stardust. I LOVE how this card turned out.

For my next 3 cards, I used the layered diamond cut file. This set has 3 differed layers that are meant to be put together. I decided to cut the file out from 3 different card stocks. I used a light purple, a dark purple and black. I then mixed up the layers to create a unique look for each card. I backed the first card with mirrored card stock. The second one was back with patterned paper from Brutus Monroe. The third one, I made into a shaker card. The sentiments were also from the cut files. The words were cut from black mirror card stock and the shadow layer was cut from vellum. I enjoyed making these cards. I am fairly new to using my Cricut machine so I was quite pleased that I was able to figure out how to do this.

Feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel. I post my tutorials for card making projects there.

#TeamTinySweet Video Hop

I am again participating in a YouTube video hop for channels with less than 1,000 subscribers. By clicking on the link in my video description you can check out all of the great videos in this hop. The added bonus….it will be ad-free!

The theme of this hop is sweet. It is my passion to give back whenever I can. To me that is being sweet. I am going to spend time throughout this year to work on cards to send to the LGBTQ+ teen community who do not have family support at the holidays. Check out @realmamabears on Instagram for more information.

My cards are featuring products from Brutus Monroe. They are also allies to the LGBTQ+ community. I am stenciling using 3 different techniques. The rainbow glitter card ended up being my absolute favorite. I intend to re-create this card many times!

Below is the blog post for the Live Like Roo card drive and all of the details for sending in cards. This is a great cause that helps families when their dogs are ill. Care packages are sent to them and the goal is to be able to include a handmade card with the package. Here is a sample card that I have been working on to send with my package.

I don’t know about all of you, but I love crafting for a cause!
