Shaker card

I have created this cute and quick shaker card for an upcoming birthday. The sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers stamp set. I have always been intimidated by shaker cards but I am trying to branch out of my comfort zone and master things that I have a hard time with. Hopefully this tutorial will help you love shaker cards too!

Hi my crafty friends!!

You can follow my love for crafting on my YouTube channel for video tutorials or you may also find me on Facebook and Instagram. You will find me under Marie’s Vermont Creations. I will share photos of projects I am working on that may not necessarily be made into a video.

Thank you for your support! I truly appreciate it.

Shaped Easter Egg Card

Hello My Crafty Friends,

I have a new card video on my YouTube channel. This is a simple shaped Easter card. The supplies used were from the recent limited edition Simon Says Stamp Easter kit. In order to make any shape card with a die: you take a regular card base. You need to place the die at the fold of the card base, leaving a space between the die and the card base. By leaving this space, you will create a hinge when you run the die and card through your die cutting machine. To cover up the hinge, you would use the die to cut out the entire shape. This is then glued to the front of the card base. When you do this, you have the entire shape on the front of the card.

I hope you enjoy this project and have a great day! Feel free to leave a comment if you have projects that you would like to see me feature in a video.

Mother’s Day Card

I have a new video on my YouTube channel for a heat embossed Mother’s Day card. This card features the Beautiful Flower stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. The mom die cut was in a former Simon Says Stamp card kit. The sentiment is from the Mother’s Clematis stamp set which is also from Simon Says Stamp. The white embossing powder is the Recollections detailed white powder. Please enjoy the video!

Stay tuned….

Hello my crafty friends,

I am getting prepared to restart posting videos to my YouTube channel! As always, I am always looking for recommendations for videos. I have been out of the YouTube loop for a few years. Here is a bit about why..

I gave up being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator a couple of years ago. I could no longer afford to maintain the order minimum on my own. I enjoyed holding classes but the sales were not flowing in. I also felt trapped into using only these products. I was a crafter before I joined this company so I had products that I wanted to use but that was frowned upon.

When I gave it up being a demonstrator, I also gave up making videos. I felt that because I didn’t need to sell anything then why would anyone want to watch my videos.

Then my son went away to the Army and I did not handle it well at first. I found it hard to find the motivation to craft. I found myself spending time knitting dish cloths and that was it. That is not exactly exciting video material!

I have missed making videos and teaching people. So it is my goal to try it again. My first step was setting up this blog. I hope you enjoy this journey with me!
