I have posted a video on my YouTube Channel sharing the contents of the Simon Says Stamp 2019 card kit called Bee Yourself. I also shared some examples at the end that I created with the contents of the card kit. I did not film the making of the cards but I figured I would share the process for each one here.
The thanks for beeing there for me card was created using the preprinted cards from the kit. I ran these cards with the decofoil rainbow foil sheets through my laminator a few times.
The bee yourself card was created by taking patterned paper from the kit cut to 4 by 5 1/4. I stamped the bee and bee trail image using Simon Says intense black ink. I then colored in the bee using my Arteza brush markers. I stamped the sentiment “bee yourself” using distress oxide ink in the color, evergreen bough. I then colored in the center of the word BEE using the Arteza marker.
The we bee-long together card was created by using a makeup brush to blend on distress oxide ink in the color, squeezed lemonade. The color was focused on the center of the white card panel (4 by 5 1/4) The image of the 2 bees holding hands and the sentiment were stamped using Simon Says Stamp intense black ink. I added sequins from the kit and covered them with glossy accents.
The just bee-cause card was created by die cutting the honeycomb image twice from a scrap of white card stock. The card panel is black card stock from the kit (4 by 5 1/4) I stamped one of the honeycomb images multiple times on the black card panel using white ink. A strip of patterned paper was adhered to the center of the panel. The bee image was stamped on a scrap piece of white card stock and colored with Arteza brush markers. I then fussy cut the image out. I stamped the sentiment with intense black ink on a 1 3/4 by 1 3/4 white piece of card stock. I adhered the sentiment with foam tape. The bee was adhered using glue behind the head and foam tape on the rest of the body so that the image would be flush. The die cuts were adhered using the glue sponge which was included in the kit.
Please let me know if you have any questions about any of these cards!
Have a great day!
